The furnishings included linen and purple curtains hung by cords of the finest linen 1 and purple wool on silver rings, alabaster columns, gold and silver couches 2 displayed on a floor made of valuable stones of alabaster, mother-of-pearl, and mineral stone.
But when the signal, a pillar of smoke, began to rise up from the city, the Benjaminites turned around and saw the whole city going up in a cloud of smoke that rose high into the sky. 1

At the court on the west there were four posted on the road and two at the court.

Flocks and herds 1 will lie down in the middle of it, as well as every kind of wild animal. 2 Owls 3 will sleep in the tops of its support pillars; they will hoot through the windows. 4 Rubble will cover the thresholds; 5 even the cedar work 6 will be exposed to the elements. 7
