Do not be afraid when a man becomes rich ¹  and his wealth multiplies! ² 

Do not be wise in your own estimation; ¹  fear the Lord and turn away from evil. ² 

There are three things that are magnificent ¹  in their step, four things that move about magnificently: ² 

The men feared the Lord ¹  greatly, ²  and earnestly vowed ³  to offer lavish sacrifices ⁴  to the Lord. ⁵ 

“Watch out for false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are voracious wolves. ¹ 

All the crowds were amazed and said, “Could this one be the Son of David?”

When Jesus saw their ¹  faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” ² 

And all who heard Jesus ¹  were astonished ²  at his understanding and his answers.

They ¹  were amazed ²  at his teaching, because he spoke ³  with authority. ⁴ 

When ¹  Jesus ²  saw their ³  faith he said, “Friend, ⁴  your sins are forgiven.” ⁵ 

So Moses was trained ¹  in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was powerful ²  in his words and deeds.

For if there was glory in the ministry that produced condemnation, ¹  how much more does the ministry that produces righteousness ²  excel ³  in glory!

and you must teach ¹  them to your children and speak of them as you sit in your house, as you walk along the road, ²  as you lie down, and as you get up.

He also killed an impressive-looking Egyptian. ¹  The Egyptian wielded a spear, while Benaiah attacked ²  him with a club. He grabbed the spear out of the Egyptian’s hand and killed him with his own spear.

But from those who were influential ¹  (whatever they were makes no difference to me; God shows no favoritism between people ² ) – those influential leaders ³  added ⁴  nothing to my message. ⁵ 

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t be impressed by ¹  his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. God does not view things the way men do. ²  People look on the outward appearance, ³  but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Fix these words of mine into your mind and being, ¹  and tie them as a reminder on your hands and let them be symbols ²  on your forehead.

Then Saul sent word to Jesse saying, “Let David be my servant, for I really like him.” ¹ 

When David ¹  had finished talking with Saul, Jonathan and David became bound together in close friendship. ²  Jonathan loved David as much as he did his own life. ³ 

This temple will become a heap of ruins; ¹  everyone who passes by it will be shocked and will hiss out their scorn, ²  saying, ‘Why did the Lord do this to this land and this temple?’
