Indeed you will go out with joy; you will be led along in peace; the mountains and hills will give a joyful shout before you, and all the trees in the field will clap their hands.
People of Jerusalem, 1 I have seen your adulterous worship, your shameless prostitution to, and your lustful pursuit of, other gods. 2 I have seen your disgusting acts of worship 3 on the hills throughout the countryside. You are doomed to destruction! 4 How long will you continue to be unclean?’”
Say, ‘Mountains of Israel, 1 Hear the word of the sovereign Lord! 2 This is what the sovereign Lord says to the mountains and the hills, to the ravines and the valleys: I am bringing 3 a sword against you, and I will destroy your high places. 4
