So now, let the power of my Lord 1 be great, just as you have said,
There 1 the wicked 2 cease 3 from turmoil, 4 and there the weary 5 are at rest.
Is my strength like that of stones? 1 or is my flesh made of bronze?
He is wise in heart 1 and mighty 2 in strength 3 – who has resisted 4 him and remained safe? 5
“How you have helped 1 the powerless! 2 How you have saved the person who has no strength! 3
Moreover, the strength of their 1 hands – what use was it to me? Men whose strength 2 had perished;
With great power God 1 grasps my clothing; 2 he binds me like the collar 3 of my tunic.
Indeed, God is mighty; and he does not despise people, 1 he 2 is mighty, and firm 3 in his intent. 4
Would your wealth 1 sustain you, so that you would not be in distress, 2 even all your mighty efforts? 3
He announced that he would do mighty deeds for his people, giving them a land that belonged to other nations. 1
Our Lord is great and has awesome power; 1 there is no limit to his wisdom. 2
A wise warrior 1 is strong, 2 and a man of knowledge makes his strength stronger;
He gives strength to those who are tired; to the ones who lack power, he gives renewed energy.
Jeroboam did not regain power during the reign of Abijah. 1 The Lord struck him down and he died.
Would he contend 1 with me with great power? No, he would only pay attention to me. 2
As for the Almighty, 1 we cannot attain to him! He is great in power, but justice 2 and abundant righteousness he does not oppress.
No king is delivered by his vast army; a warrior is not saved by his great might.
Praise the Lord, you angels of his, you powerful warriors who carry out his decrees and obey his orders! 1
“Listen to me in silence, you coastlands! 1 Let the nations find renewed strength! Let them approach and then speak; let us come together for debate! 2
I alone was left to see this great vision. My strength drained from 1 me, and my vigor disappeared; 2 I was without energy. 3
