So the Lord said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God 1 to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet. 2

So Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh. Each 1 of the Egyptians sold his field, for the famine was severe. 2 So the land became Pharaoh’s.
So Joseph made it a statute, 1 which is in effect 2 to this day throughout the land of Egypt: One-fifth belongs to Pharaoh. Only the land of the priests did not become Pharaoh’s.
Jehoiakim paid Pharaoh the required amount of silver and gold, but to meet Pharaoh’s demands Jehoiakim had to tax the land. He collected an assessed amount from each man among the people of the land in order to pay Pharaoh Necho. 1
Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, “Both dreams of Pharaoh have the same meaning. 1 God has revealed 2 to Pharaoh what he is about to do. 3
So now, it is not you who sent me here, but God. He has made me an adviser 1 to Pharaoh, lord over all his household, and ruler over all the land of Egypt.
Joseph went and told Pharaoh, “My father, my brothers, their flocks and herds, and all that they own have arrived from the land of Canaan. They are now 1 in the land of Goshen.”
Joseph said to the people, “Since I have bought you and your land today for Pharaoh, here is seed for you. Cultivate 1 the land.
When you gather in the crop, 1 give 2 one-fifth of it to Pharaoh, and the rest 3 will be yours for seed for the fields and for you to eat, including those in your households and your little children.”
So they put foremen 1 over the Israelites 2 to oppress 3 them with hard labor. As a result 4 they built Pithom and Rameses 5 as store cities for Pharaoh.
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh, 1 for compelled by my strong hand 2 he will release them, and by my strong hand he will drive them out of his land.” 3
Moses said to Pharaoh, “You may have the honor over me 1 – when shall I pray for you, your servants, and your people, for the frogs to be removed 2 from you and your houses, so that 3 they will be left 4 only in the Nile?”
Then Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh, and Moses cried 1 to the Lord because of 2 the frogs that he had brought on 3 Pharaoh.
