A joyful heart 1 makes the face cheerful, 2 but by a painful heart the spirit is broken.
A cheerful heart 1 brings good healing, 2 but a crushed spirit 3 dries up the bones. 4
Sorrow 1 is better than laughter, because sober reflection 2 is good for the heart. 3
So tell them 1 you are my sister 2 so that it may go well 3 for me because of you and my life will be spared 4 on account of you.”
