For the Lord will rise up, as he did at Mount Perazim, 1 he will rouse himself, as he did in the Valley of Gibeon, 2 to accomplish his work, his peculiar work, to perform his task, his strange task. 3
All 1 the utensils of the tabernacle used 2 in all its service, all its tent pegs, and all the tent pegs of the courtyard are to be made of bronze. 3
Yet I will appoint them to keep charge of the temple, all of its service and all that will be done in it.
the hangings of the courtyard, 1 the curtain at the entrance to the courtyard that surrounded the tabernacle and the altar, and their ropes, plus all the service connected with these things. 2
Their responsibilities included the ark, the table, the lampstand, the altars, and the utensils of the sanctuary with which they ministered, 1 the curtain, and all their service. 2
The appointed responsibilities of the Merarites included the frames of the tabernacle, its crossbars, its posts, its sockets, its utensils, plus all the service connected with these things, 1
“Receive these gifts 1 from them, that they may be 2 used in doing the work 3 of the tent of meeting; and you must give them to the Levites, to every man 4 as his service requires.” 5
Everyone 1 whose heart stirred him to action 2 and everyone whose spirit was willing 3 came and brought the offering for the Lord for the work of the tent of meeting, for all its service, and for the holy garments. 4
but in order that they will live 1 and not die when they approach the most holy things, do this for them: Aaron and his sons will go in and appoint 2 each man 3 to his service and his responsibility.
According to the word of the Lord they were numbered, 1 by the authority of Moses, each according to his service and according to what he was to carry. 2 Thus were they numbered by him, 3 as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Hezekiah appointed the divisions of the priests and Levites to do their assigned tasks 1 – to offer burnt sacrifices and present offerings and to serve, give thanks, and offer praise in the gates of the Lord’s sanctuary. 2
