Moab 1 will spread out its hands in the middle of it, 2 just as a swimmer spreads his hands to swim; the Lord 3 will bring down Moab’s 4 pride as it spreads its hands. 5
An officer who was the king’s right-hand man 1 responded to the prophet, 2 “Look, even if the Lord made it rain by opening holes in the sky, could this happen so soon?” 3 Elisha 4 said, “Look, you will see it happen with your own eyes, but you will not eat any of the food!” 5

The one who runs away from the sound of the terror will fall into the pit; 1 the one who climbs out of the pit, will be trapped by the snare. For the floodgates of the heavens 2 are opened up 3 and the foundations of the earth shake.
“Bring the entire tithe into the storehouse 1 so that there may be food in my temple. Test me in this matter,” says the Lord who rules over all, “to see if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until there is no room for it all.
