and all were baptized 1 into Moses in the cloud and in the sea,
And a great storm developed on the sea so that the waves began to swamp the boat. But he was asleep.
But 1 he said to them, “Why are you cowardly, you people of little faith?” Then he got up and rebuked 2 the winds and the sea, 3 and it was dead calm.
As he went along the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, Simon’s brother, casting a net into the sea (for they were fishermen). 1
So 1 he got up and rebuked 2 the wind, and said to the sea, 3 “Be quiet! Calm down!” Then 4 the wind stopped, and it was dead calm.
This man led them out, performing wonders and miraculous signs 1 in the land of Egypt, 2 at 3 the Red Sea, and in the wilderness 4 for forty years.
I have been on journeys many times, in dangers from rivers, in dangers from robbers, 1 in dangers from my own countrymen, in dangers from Gentiles, in dangers in the city, in dangers in the wilderness, 2 in dangers at sea, in dangers from false brothers,
and a third of the creatures 1 living in the sea died, and a third of the ships were completely destroyed. 2
Again he began to teach by the lake. Such a large crowd gathered around him that he got into a boat on the lake and sat there while 1 the whole crowd was on the shore by the lake.
Jesus 1 gave them permission. 2 So 3 the unclean spirits came out and went into the pigs. Then the herd rushed down the steep slope into the lake, and about two thousand were drowned in the lake.
So 1 the Lord replied, 2 “If 3 you had faith the size of 4 a mustard seed, you could say to this black mulberry 5 tree, ‘Be pulled out by the roots and planted in the sea,’ 6 and it would obey 7 you.
Next, 1 the second angel 2 poured out his bowl on the sea and it turned into blood, like that of a corpse, and every living creature that was in the sea died.
And they threw dust on their heads and were shouting with weeping and mourning, 1 “Woe, Woe, O great city – in which all those who had ships on the sea got rich from her wealth – because in a single hour she has been destroyed!” 2
