But again I ask, didn’t Israel understand? 1 First Moses says, “I will make you jealous by those who are not a nation; with a senseless nation I will provoke you to anger.” 2
but in every nation 1 the person who fears him 2 and does what is right 3 is welcomed before him.
For this reason I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a people 1 who will produce its fruit.
Now all the Jews know the way I lived 1 from my youth, spending my life from the beginning among my own people 2 and in Jerusalem. 3
