Remind them to be subject to rulers and 1 authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work.
Remind people 1 of these things and solemnly charge them 2 before the Lord 3 not to wrangle over words. This is of no benefit; it just brings ruin on those who listen. 4
Therefore, I intend to remind you constantly 1 of these things even though you know them and are well established in the truth that you now have.
Now I desire to remind you (even though you have been fully informed of these facts 1 once for all 2 ) that Jesus, 3 having saved the 4 people out of the land of Egypt, later 5 destroyed those who did not believe.
Then 1 the Lord turned and looked straight at Peter, and Peter remembered the word of the Lord, 2 how he had said to him, “Before a rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.”
But the Advocate, 1 the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you 2 everything, 3 and will cause you to remember everything 4 I said to you.
Therefore, if I come, 1 I will call attention to the deeds he is doing 2 – the bringing of unjustified charges against us with evil words! And not being content with that, he not only refuses to welcome the brothers himself, but hinders the people who want to do so and throws them out of the church!
