But he passed through the crowd ¹  and went on his way. ² 

So Paul left the Areopagus. ¹ 

When they had made a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat down among them.

He called a child, had him stand among them,

But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Look, the bridegroom is here! Come out to meet him.’ ¹ 

Go! I ¹  am sending you out like lambs ²  surrounded by wolves. ³ 

because the sun’s light failed. ¹  The temple curtain ²  was torn in two.

There they ¹  crucified ²  him along with two others, ³  one on each side, with Jesus in the middle.

¹  although we could have imposed our weight as apostles of Christ; instead we became ²  little children ³  among you. Like a nursing mother caring for her own children,

For where two or three are assembled in my name, I am there among them.”

So he said to the man who had the withered hand, “Stand up among all these people.” ¹ 

When evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea and he was alone on the land.

He took a little child and had him stand among them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them,

Other seed fell among the thorns, ¹  and they grew up with it and choked ²  it.

Now on ¹  the way to Jerusalem, ²  Jesus ³  was passing along ⁴  between Samaria and Galilee.

While they were saying these things, Jesus ¹  himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” ² 

The experts in the law ¹  and the Pharisees ²  brought a woman who had been caught committing adultery. They made her stand in front of them

After ¹  making Peter and John ²  stand in their midst, they began to inquire, “By what power or by what name ³  did you do this?”

For the hidden power of lawlessness ¹  is already at work. However, the one who holds him back ²  will do so until he is taken out of the way,

saying, “I will proclaim your name to my brothers; ¹  in the midst of the assembly I will praise you.” ²
