I always pray with joy in my every prayer for all of you
With every prayer and petition, pray 1 at all times in the Spirit, and to this end 2 be alert, with all perseverance and requests for all the saints.
First of all, then, I urge that requests, 1 prayers, intercessions, and thanks be offered on behalf of all people, 2
Brothers and sisters, 1 my heart’s desire and prayer to God on behalf of my fellow Israelites 2 is for their salvation.
And in their prayers on your behalf they long for you because of the extraordinary grace God has shown to you. 1
For the eyes of the Lord are 1 upon the righteous and his ears are open to their prayer. But the Lord’s face is against those who do evil. 2
She had lived as a widow since then for eighty-four years. 1 She never left the temple, worshiping with fasting and prayer night and day. 2
as you also join in helping us by prayer, so that many people may give thanks to God 1 on our behalf for the gracious gift given to us through the help of many.
for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance 1 through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God.
But the widow who is truly in need, and completely on her own, 1 has set her hope on God and continues in her pleas and prayers night and day.
So confess your sins to one another and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great effectiveness. 1

During his earthly life 1 Christ 2 offered 3 both requests and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to the one who was able to save him from death and he was heard because of his devotion.
