Then ¹  Jesus ²  said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” ³ 

“Blessed ¹  are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered;

I am writing to you, ¹  little children, that ²  your sins have been forgiven because of his ³  name.

Which is easier, ¹  to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven’ or to say, ‘Stand up and walk’?

When Jesus saw their ¹  faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” ² 

When ¹  Jesus ²  saw their ³  faith he said, “Friend, ⁴  your sins are forgiven.” ⁵ 

Which is easier, ¹  to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Stand up and walk’?

The sins of some people are obvious, going before them into judgment, but for others, they show up later. ¹ 

because her sins have piled ¹  up all the way to heaven ²  and God has remembered ³  her crimes. ⁴ 

Which is easier, ¹  to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Stand up, take your stretcher, and walk’?

Therefore I tell you, her sins, which were many, are forgiven, thus she loved much; ¹  but the one who is forgiven little loves little.”

Just then ¹  some people ²  brought to him a paralytic lying on a stretcher. ³  When Jesus saw their ⁴  faith, he said to the paralytic, “Have courage, son! Your sins are forgiven.” ⁵
