But the man who was unfairly hurting his neighbor pushed 1 Moses 2 aside, saying, ‘Who made 3 you a ruler and judge over us?
When any of you has a legal dispute with another, does he dare go to court before the unrighteous rather than before the saints?
I have 1 a hope in God (a hope 2 that 3 these men 4 themselves accept too) that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. 5
1 Because Christ also suffered 2 once for sins, the just for the unjust, 3 to bring you to God, by being put to death in the flesh but 4 by being made alive in the spirit. 5
The evildoer must continue to do evil, 1 and the one who is morally filthy 2 must continue to be filthy. The 3 one who is righteous must continue to act righteously, and the one who is holy must continue to be holy.”
