And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

He has brought down the mighty from their thrones, and has lifted up those of lowly position;

Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will exalt you.

Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? No, you will be thrown down to Hades!

And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”

And God will exalt you in due time, if you humble yourselves under his mighty hand

Or did I commit a sin by humbling myself so that you could be exalted, because I proclaimed the gospel of God to you free of charge?

God exalted him to his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.
