While applying ¹  my mind ²  to everything ³  that happens in this world, ⁴  I have seen all this: Sometimes one person ⁵  dominates ⁶  other people ⁷  to their harm. ⁸ 

The prophets prophesy lies. The priests exercise power by their own authority. ¹  And my people love to have it this way. But they will not be able to help you when the time of judgment comes! ² 

This is the reason ¹  I do my best to always ²  have a clear ³  conscience toward God and toward people. ⁴ 

But if they do not have self-control, let them get married. For it is better to marry than to burn with sexual desire. ¹ 

I became a servant of this gospel ¹  according to the gift of God’s grace that was given to me by ²  the exercise of his power. ³ 

But solid food is for the mature, whose perceptions are trained by practice to discern both good and evil.

For this very reason, ¹  make every effort ²  to add to your faith excellence, ³  to excellence, knowledge;

You must not rule over him harshly, ¹  but you must fear your God.

Exercise appropriate caution so that there is no negligence in this matter. Why should danger increase to the point that kings sustain damage?”

in order to safeguard ¹  discretion, ²  and that your lips may guard knowledge.

Then a powerful king ¹  will arise, exercising great authority and doing as he pleases.

and he has granted the Son ¹  authority to execute judgment, ²  because he is the Son of Man.

But be careful that this liberty of yours does not become a hindrance to the weak.

Do not give offense to Jews or Greeks or to the church of God,

But as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

Likewise also their wives ¹  must be dignified, not slanderous, temperate, faithful in every respect.

Older men are to be temperate, dignified, self-controlled, ¹  sound in faith, in love, and in endurance. ² 

Live ¹  as free people, not using your freedom as a pretext for evil, but as God’s slaves. ² 

I decided ¹  to carefully ²  and thoroughly examine ³  all that has been accomplished on earth. ⁴  I concluded: ⁵  God has given people ⁶  a burdensome task ⁷  that keeps them ⁸  occupied. ⁹ 

For if, by the transgression of the one man, ¹  death reigned through the one, how much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ!
