“‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: The gate of the inner court that faces east 1 will be closed six working days, but on the Sabbath day it will be opened and on the day of the new moon it will be opened.
Solomon had made a bronze platform and had placed it in the middle of the enclosure. It was seven and one-half feet 1 long, seven and one-half feet 2 wide, and four and one-half feet 3 high. He stood on it and then got down on his knees in front of the entire assembly of Israel. He spread out his hands toward the sky,
The priests stood in their assigned spots, along with the Levites who had the musical instruments used for praising the Lord. 1 (These were the ones King David made for giving thanks to the Lord and which were used by David when he offered praise, saying, “Certainly his loyal love endures.”) 2 Opposite the Levites, 3 the priests were blowing the trumpets, while all Israel stood there.
Harbona, 1 one of the king’s eunuchs, said, “Indeed, there is the gallows that Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke out in the king’s behalf. It stands near Haman’s home and is seventy-five feet 2 high.” The king said, “Hang him on it!”
He stretched out the form 1 of a hand and grabbed me by a lock of hair on my head. Then a wind 2 lifted me up between the earth and sky and brought me to Jerusalem 3 by means of divine visions, to the door of the inner gate which faces north where the statue 4 which provokes to jealousy was located.

Next, I noticed 1 six men 2 coming from the direction of the upper gate 3 which faces north, each with his war club in his hand. Among them was a man dressed in linen with a writing kit 4 at his side. They came and stood beside the bronze altar.
The alcoves were 10½ feet long and 10½ feet wide; between the alcoves were 8¾ feet. 1 The threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate facing inward was 10½ feet.
When the prince provides a freewill offering, a burnt offering, or peace offerings as a voluntary offering to the Lord, the gate facing east will be opened for him, and he will provide his burnt offering and his peace offerings just as he did on the Sabbath. Then he will go out, and the gate will be closed after he goes out. 1
