Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me? 1 The words that I say to you, I do not speak on my own initiative, 2 but the Father residing in me performs 3 his miraculous deeds. 4
You are looking at outward appearances. 1 If anyone is confident that he belongs to Christ, he should reflect on this again: Just as he himself belongs to Christ, so too do we.

Do the job the Lord your God has assigned you 1 by following his instructions 2 and obeying 3 his rules, commandments, regulations, and laws as written in the law of Moses. Then you will succeed in all you do and seek to accomplish, 4
The prophet Jehu son of Hanani received from the Lord the message predicting the downfall of Baasha and his family because of all the evil Baasha had done in the sight of the Lord. 1 His actions angered the Lord (including the way he had destroyed Jeroboam’s dynasty), so that his family ended up like Jeroboam’s. 2
Muster an army like the one you lost, with the same number of horses and chariots. 1 Then we will fight them in the plains; we will certainly overpower them.” He approved their plan and did as they advised. 2

That is what will result from your making me angry by what you are doing. 1 You are making me angry by sacrificing to other gods here in the land of Egypt where you live. You will be destroyed for doing that! You will become an example used in curses 2 and an object of ridicule among all the nations of the earth. 3
