Jehoram was thirty-two years old when he became king and he reigned for eight years in Jerusalem. 1
The Lord stirred up against Jehoram the Philistines 1 and the Arabs who lived beside the Cushites.
He died just as the Lord had prophesied through Elijah. 1 In the second year of the reign of King Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat over Judah, Ahaziah’s brother Jehoram replaced him as king of Israel, because he had no son. 2

Jehoram crossed over to Zair with his officers and all his chariots. The Edomites, who had surrounded him, attacked at night and defeated him and his chariot officers. 1
In the eighteenth year of King Jehoshaphat’s reign over Judah, Ahab’s son Jehoram became king over Israel in Samaria; 1 he ruled for twelve years.

So Jehoshabeath, 1 the daughter of King Jehoram, 2 took Ahaziah’s son Joash and sneaked him away 3 from the rest of the royal descendants who were to be executed. She hid him and his nurse in the room where the bed covers were stored. So Jehoshabeath the daughter of King Jehoram, wife of Jehoiada the priest and sister of Ahaziah, hid him from Athaliah so she could not execute him.
King Joram returned to Jezreel to recover from the wounds he received from the Syrians 1 in Ramah when he fought against King Hazael of Syria. King Ahaziah son of Jehoram of Judah went down to visit 2 Joram son of Ahab in Jezreel, for he was ill.
