When the leaders of the Philistines were passing in review at the head of their units of hundreds and thousands, ¹  David and his men were passing in review in the rear with Achish.

David assembled the army that was with him. He appointed leaders of thousands and leaders of hundreds.

Solomon also had 70,000 common laborers ¹  and 80,000 stonecutters ²  in the hills,

David again assembled ¹  all the best ²  men in Israel, thirty thousand in number.

I am not afraid ¹  of the multitude of people ²  who attack me from all directions. ³
