God appeared to Jacob again after he returned from Paddan Aram and blessed him.

Jacob named the place ¹  where God spoke with him Bethel. ² 

Joseph ¹  had a dream, ²  and when he told his brothers about it, ³  they hated him even more. ⁴ 

Then they took him and threw him into the cistern. (Now the cistern was empty; ¹  there was no water in it.)

Now ¹  in Egypt the Midianites ²  sold Joseph ³  to Potiphar, one of Pharaoh’s officials, the captain of the guard. ⁴ 

Then she had ¹  yet another son, whom she named Shelah. She gave birth to him in Kezib. ² 

His master observed that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made everything he was doing successful. ¹ 

If one of us has it, ¹  he will die, and the rest of us will become my lord’s slaves!”

He kissed all his brothers and wept over them. After this his brothers talked with him.

Joseph ¹  made all the people slaves ²  from one end of Egypt’s border to the other end of it.

So Joseph died at the age of 110. ¹  After they embalmed him, his body ²  was placed in a coffin in Egypt.

But the more the Egyptians ¹  oppressed them, the more they multiplied and spread. ²  As a result the Egyptians loathed ³  the Israelites,

The woman became pregnant ¹  and gave birth to a son. When ²  she saw that ³  he was a healthy ⁴  child, she hid him for three months.

But everyone’s servant who is bought for money, after you have circumcised him, may eat it.

So they gathered it each morning, ¹  each person according to what he could eat, and when the sun got hot, it would melt. ² 

You are to overlay ¹  it with pure gold – both inside and outside you must overlay it, ²  and you are to make a surrounding border ³  of gold over it.

You are to overlay it with ¹  pure gold, and you are to make a surrounding border of gold for it.

You are to make its four horns ¹  on its four corners; its horns will be part of it, ²  and you are to overlay it with bronze.

The poles are to be put ¹  into the rings so that the poles will be on two sides of the altar when carrying it. ² 

You are to make the altar hollow, out of boards. Just as it was shown you ¹  on the mountain, so they must make it. ²
