When they got out on the beach, ¹  they saw a charcoal fire ready ²  with a fish placed on it, and bread.

And I will perform wonders in the sky ¹  above and miraculous signs ²  on the earth below, blood and fire and clouds of smoke.

He ¹  fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, ²  why are you persecuting me?” ³ 

In it ¹  were all kinds of four-footed animals and reptiles ²  of the earth and wild birds. ³ 

Now what is the meaning of “he ascended,” except that he also descended ¹  to the lower regions, ²  namely, the earth? ³ 

And, “You founded the earth in the beginning, Lord, ¹  and the heavens are the works of your hands.

Now if he were on earth, he would not be a priest, since there are already priests who offer ¹  the gifts prescribed by the law.

By faith they crossed the Red Sea as if on dry ground, but when the Egyptians tried it, they were swallowed up.

You have lived indulgently and luxuriously on the earth. You have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter. ¹ 

Then ¹  he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land sprouted with a harvest.

But, according to his promise, we are waiting for ¹  new heavens and a new earth, in which ²  righteousness truly resides. ³ 

You have appointed ¹  them ²  as a kingdom and priests ³  to serve ⁴  our God, and they will reign ⁵  on the earth.”

(These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth.) ¹ 

The ¹  blood of the saints and prophets was found in her, ²  along with the blood ³  of all those who had been killed on the earth.”

not by earth, because it is his footstool, and not by Jerusalem, ¹  because it is the city of the great King.

“Do not accumulate for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth ¹  and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.

Aren’t two sparrows sold for a penny? ¹  Yet not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. ² 

But other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.

Meanwhile the boat, already far from land, ¹  was taking a beating from the waves because the wind was against it.

Just then ¹  the temple curtain ²  was torn in two, from top to bottom. The ³  earth shook and the rocks were split apart.
