he consulted with his advisers and military officers about stopping up the springs ¹  outside the city, and they supported him.

You will also take the bull for the sin offering, and it will be burned in the appointed place in the temple, outside the sanctuary.

“Woe to you, experts in the law ¹  and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.
