For I decided to be concerned about nothing ¹  among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

We do so ¹  because we know that the one who raised up Jesus ²  will also raise us up with Jesus and will bring us with you into his presence.

But our citizenship is in heaven – and we also await a savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, ¹  partners in a heavenly calling, take note of Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess, ² 

Therefore since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession.

She will give birth to a son and you will name him ¹  Jesus, ²  because he will save his people from their sins.”

So he said, “Come.” Peter got out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus.

Jesus ¹  said to him, “Friend, do what you are here to do.” Then they came and took hold ²  of Jesus and arrested him.

Now the ones who had arrested Jesus led him to Caiaphas, the high priest, in whose house ¹  the experts in the law ²  and the elders had gathered.

So after they had assembled, Pilate said to them, “Whom do you want me to release for you, Jesus ¹  Barabbas or Jesus who is called the Christ?” ² 

But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowds to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus killed.

Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the governor’s residence ¹  and gathered the whole cohort ²  around him.

But the angel said ¹  to the women, “Do not be afraid; I know ²  that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. ³ 

They came to Jesus and saw the demon-possessed man sitting there, clothed and in his right mind – the one who had the “Legion” – and they were afraid.

Then ¹  the apostles gathered around Jesus and told him everything they had done and taught.

Then ¹  they brought the colt to Jesus, threw their cloaks ²  on it, and he sat on it. ³ 

Then ¹  they led Jesus to the high priest, and all the chief priests and elders and experts in the law ²  came together.

Then ¹  the high priest stood up before them ²  and asked Jesus, “Have you no answer? What is this that they are testifying against you?”

Early in the morning, after forming a plan, the chief priests with the elders and the experts in the law ¹  and the whole Sanhedrin tied Jesus up, led him away, and handed him over to Pilate. ² 

Because he wanted to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas for them. Then, ¹  after he had Jesus flogged, ²  he handed him over ³  to be crucified.
