Thus Jesus ¹  asked, ²  “What is the kingdom of God ³  like? ⁴  To ⁵  what should I compare it?

and then the third married her, and in this same way all seven died, leaving no children.

In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife will the woman be? ¹  For all seven had married her.” ² 

The experts in the law ¹  and the Pharisees ²  brought a woman who had been caught committing adultery. They made her stand in front of them

This is why the Father loves me ¹  – because I lay down my life, ²  so that I may take it back again.

So Jesus said, “Leave her alone. She has kept it for the day of my burial. ¹ 

At that time ¹  she became sick ²  and died. When they had washed ³  her body, ⁴  they placed it in an upstairs room.

For just as in one body we have many members, and not all the members serve the same function,

But thanks be to God who put in the heart of Titus the same devotion ¹  I have for you,

And tell Archippus, “See to it that you complete the ministry you received in the Lord.”

Therefore it remains for some to enter it, yet those to whom it was previously proclaimed did not enter because of disobedience.

But we passionately want each of you to demonstrate the same eagerness for the fulfillment of your hope until the end,

So ¹  they are astonished ²  when you do not rush with them into the same flood of wickedness, and they vilify you. ³ 

But the gate is narrow and the way is difficult that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

From ¹  the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and forceful people lay hold of it. ² 

But he did not answer her a word. Then ¹  his disciples came and begged him, ²  “Send her away, because she keeps on crying out after us.”

I tell you the truth, ¹  whoever does not receive ²  the kingdom of God like a child ³  will never ⁴  enter it.”

Now they were all ¹  wailing and mourning ²  for her, but he said, “Stop your weeping; she is not dead but asleep.”

“The law and the prophets were in force ¹  until John; ²  since then, ³  the good news of the kingdom of God ⁴  has been proclaimed, and everyone is urged to enter it. ⁵ 

yet because this widow keeps on bothering me, I will give her justice, or in the end she will wear me out ¹  by her unending pleas.’” ²
