Joash was determined to repair the Lord’s temple. ¹ 

Josiah observed a Passover festival for the Lord in Jerusalem. ¹  They slaughtered the Passover lambs on the fourteenth day of the first month.

From the first day of the seventh month they began to offer burnt offerings to the Lord. However, the Lord’s temple was not at that time established. ¹ 

¹  The exiles ²  observed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.

and on the first day of the first month they finished considering all the men who had married foreign wives.

On the twenty-fourth day of this same month the Israelites assembled; they were fasting and wearing sackcloth, their heads covered with dust.

It lasted until the ninth day of the fourth month of Zedekiah’s eleventh year. ¹  On that day they broke through the city walls.

By the ninth day of the fourth month ¹  the famine in the city was so severe the residents ²  had no food.

The word of the Lord came to me in the ninth year, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month ¹ :

In the eleventh year, on the first day of the month, ¹  the word of the Lord came to me:

In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the twelfth day of the month, ¹  the word of the Lord came to me:

In the twenty-seventh year, in the first month, on the first day of the month, ¹  the word of the Lord came to me:

In the eleventh year, in the first month, on the seventh day of the month, ¹  the word of the Lord came to me:

In the eleventh year, in the third month, on the first day of the month, ¹  the word of the Lord came to me:

In the twelfth year, on the fifteenth day of the month, ¹  the word of the Lord came to me:

This took place on the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month of King Darius’ second year. ¹ 

On the twenty-first day of the seventh month, ¹  the Lord spoke again through the prophet Haggai: ² 

Then the Lord spoke again to Haggai ¹  on the twenty-fourth day of the month: ² 

The waters kept on receding ¹  until the tenth month. On the first day of the tenth month, the tops of the mountains became visible. ² 

Tell the whole community of Israel, ‘In the tenth day of this month they each ¹  must take a lamb ²  for themselves according to their families ³  – a lamb for each household. ⁴
