Then the glory of the Lord arose from the cherub and moved to the threshold of the temple. The temple was filled with the cloud while the court was filled with the brightness of the Lord’s glory.

The earth was ruined ¹  in the sight of ²  God; the earth was filled with violence. ³ 

¹ Seven full days passed ²  after the Lord struck ³  the Nile.

and with cutting and setting stone, and with cutting wood, to work in all kinds of craftsmanship.

or with princes who possessed gold, ¹  who filled their palaces ²  with silver.

“Does a wise man answer with blustery knowledge, ¹  or fill his belly ²  with the east wind? ³ 

His bones ¹  were full of his youthful vigor, ²  but that vigor will lie down with him in the dust.

In the fullness of his sufficiency, ¹  distress ²  overtakes him. the full force of misery will come upon him. ³ 

But it was he ¹  who filled their houses with good things – yet the counsel of the wicked ²  was far from me. ³ 

Can you fill its hide with harpoons or its head with fishing spears?

May he grant your heart’s desire; ¹  may he bring all your plans to pass! ² 

The Lord promotes ¹  equity and justice; the Lord’s faithfulness extends throughout the earth. ² 

For I am overcome with shame ¹  and my whole body is sick. ² 

Remember your covenant promises, ¹  for the dark regions of the earth are full of places where violence rules. ² 

You cleared the ground for it; ¹  it took root, ²  and filled the land.

Cover ¹  their faces with shame, so they might seek ²  you, ³  O Lord.

For he has satisfied those who thirst, ¹  and those who hunger he has filled with food. ² 

We will seize ¹  all kinds ²  of precious wealth; we will fill our houses with plunder. ³ 

The righteous do not encounter ¹  any harm, ²  but the wicked are filled with calamity. ³ 

Bread gained by deceit ¹  tastes sweet to a person, ²  but afterward his mouth will be filled with gravel. ³
