(Now ¹  all the people who heard this, even the tax collectors, ²  acknowledged ³  God’s justice, because they had been baptized ⁴  with John’s baptism.

For everyone who asks ¹  receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door ²  will be opened.

Everyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, ¹  and the one on whom it falls will be crushed.” ² 

Jesus replied, ¹  “Everyone who drinks some of this water will be thirsty ²  again.

and the one who lives and believes in me will never die. ¹  Do you believe this?”

who will speak a message ¹  to you by which you and your entire household will be saved.’

Each competitor must exercise self-control in everything. They do it to receive a perishable crown, but we an imperishable one.

Any man who prays or prophesies with his head covered disgraces his head.

For the whole law can be summed up in a single commandment, ¹  namely, “You must love your neighbor as yourself.” ² 

If you know that he is righteous, you also know ¹  that everyone who practices righteousness has been fathered ²  by him.

And everyone who has this hope focused ¹  on him purifies ²  himself, just as Jesus ³  is pure). ⁴ 

Everyone who practices sin ¹  also practices lawlessness; ²  indeed, ³  sin is lawlessness.

But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to desire her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

“Whoever, then, acknowledges ¹  me before people, I will acknowledge ²  before my Father in heaven.

And such a large crowd gathered around him that he got into a boat to sit while ¹  the whole crowd stood on the shore.

“Everyone who comes to me and listens to my words and puts them into practice ¹  – I will show you what he is like:

And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but the person who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit ¹  will not be forgiven. ² 

In the same way therefore not one of you can be my disciple if he does not renounce all his own possessions. ¹ 

“The law and the prophets were in force ¹  until John; ²  since then, ³  the good news of the kingdom of God ⁴  has been proclaimed, and everyone is urged to enter it. ⁵ 

“Everyone who divorces his wife and marries ¹  someone else commits adultery, and the one who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.
