I glorified you on earth by completing ¹  the work you gave me to do. ² 

And I will perform wonders in the sky ¹  above and miraculous signs ²  on the earth below, blood and fire and clouds of smoke.

In it ¹  were all kinds of four-footed animals and reptiles ²  of the earth and wild birds. ³ 

Now what is the meaning of “he ascended,” except that he also descended ¹  to the lower regions, ²  namely, the earth? ³ 

Now if he were on earth, he would not be a priest, since there are already priests who offer ¹  the gifts prescribed by the law.

By faith they crossed the Red Sea as if on dry ground, but when the Egyptians tried it, they were swallowed up.

You have lived indulgently and luxuriously on the earth. You have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter. ¹ 

You have appointed ¹  them ²  as a kingdom and priests ³  to serve ⁴  our God, and they will reign ⁵  on the earth.”

(These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth.) ¹ 

The ¹  blood of the saints and prophets was found in her, ²  along with the blood ³  of all those who had been killed on the earth.”

“Do not accumulate for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth ¹  and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.

Other ¹  seeds fell on rocky ground ²  where they did not have much soil. They sprang up quickly because the soil was not deep. ³ 

Meanwhile the boat, already far from land, ¹  was taking a beating from the waves because the wind was against it.

Then Jesus came up and said to them, ¹  “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

But so that you may know ¹  that the Son of Man ²  has authority on earth to forgive sins,” – he said to the paralytic ³  –

Other seed fell on rocky ground ¹  where it did not have much soil. It sprang up at once because the soil was not deep. ² 

and his clothes became radiantly white, more so than any launderer in the world could bleach them.

So they brought the boy ¹  to him. When the spirit saw him, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He ²  fell on the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.

Then he will send angels and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven. ¹ 

Going a little farther, he threw himself to the ground and prayed that if it were possible the hour would pass from him.
