A spring does not pour out fresh water and bitter water from the same opening, does it?

Then ¹  a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and with the moon under her feet, and on her head was a crown of twelve stars. ² 

Now ¹  the woman was dressed in purple and scarlet clothing, ²  and adorned with gold, ³  precious stones, and pearls. She held ⁴  in her hand a golden cup filled with detestable things and unclean things from her sexual immorality. ⁵ 

Then ¹  the kings of the earth who committed immoral acts with her and lived in sensual luxury ²  with her will weep and wail for her when they see the smoke from the fire that burns her up. ³ 

because his judgments are true and just. ¹  For he has judged ²  the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality, and has avenged the blood of his servants ³  poured out by her own hands!” ⁴ 

Now ¹  the city is laid out as a square, ²  its length and width the same. He ³  measured the city with the measuring rod ⁴  at fourteen hundred miles ⁵  (its length and width and height are equal).

Because Joseph, her husband to be, ¹  was a righteous man, and because he did not want to disgrace her, he intended to divorce her ²  privately.

So then, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own. ¹ 

He touched her hand, and the fever left her. Then ¹  she got up and began to serve them.

But when the crowd had been put outside, he went in and gently took her by the hand, and the girl got up.

His ¹  head was brought on a platter and given to the girl, and she brought it to her mother.

So ¹  Mary stayed with Elizabeth ²  about three months ³  and then returned to her home.

But Mary treasured up all these words, pondering in her heart what they might mean. ¹ 

Indeed, as a result of him the thoughts ¹  of many hearts will be revealed ²  – and a sword ³  will pierce your own soul as well!” ⁴ 

So ¹  he stood over her, commanded ²  the fever, and it left her. Immediately ³  she got up and began to serve ⁴  them.

She ¹  came up behind Jesus ²  and touched the edge ³  of his cloak, ⁴  and at once the bleeding ⁵  stopped.

Her ¹  spirit returned, ²  and she got up immediately. Then ³  he told them to give her something to eat.

Her ¹  parents were astonished, but he ordered them to tell no one ²  what had happened.

But whenever ¹  you enter a town ²  and the people ³  do not welcome ⁴  you, go into its streets ⁵  and say,

but one thing ¹  is needed. Mary has chosen the best ²  part; it will not be taken away from her.”
