Now ¹  when it was noon, ²  darkness came over the whole land ³  until three in the afternoon. ⁴ 

I am telling you this now, ¹  before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe ²  that I am he. ³ 

Reverential awe ¹  came over everyone, ²  and many wonders and miraculous signs ³  came about by the apostles.

After an interval of about three hours, ¹  his wife came in, but she did not know ²  what had happened.

He became hungry and wanted to eat, but while they were preparing the meal, a trance came over him. ¹ 

At daybreak ¹  there was great consternation ²  among the soldiers over what had become of Peter.

When ¹  I returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, I fell into a trance ² 

Brothers and sisters, ¹  do not be children in your thinking. Instead, be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature.

Did that which is good, then, become death to me? Absolutely not! But sin, so that it would be shown to be sin, produced death in me through what is good, so that through the commandment sin would become utterly sinful.

Then ¹  I looked when the Lamb opened the sixth seal, and a huge ²  earthquake took place; the sun became as black as sackcloth made of hair, ³  and the full moon became blood red; ⁴ 

When ¹  his fellow slaves saw what had happened, they were very upset and went and told their lord everything that had taken place.

For then there will be great suffering ¹  unlike anything that has happened ²  from the beginning of the world until now, or ever will happen.

Then ¹  a cloud ²  overshadowed them, ³  and a voice came from the cloud, “This is my one dear Son. ⁴  Listen to him!” ⁵ 

And in his anguish ¹  he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.] ² 

where he stayed ¹  for three months. Because the Jews had made ²  a plot ³  against him as he was intending ⁴  to sail ⁵  for Syria, he decided ⁶  to return through Macedonia. ⁷ 

Guard against self-deception, each of you. ¹  If someone among you thinks he is wise in this age, let him become foolish so that he can become wise.

To the weak I became weak in order to gain the weak. I have become all things to all people, so that by all means I may save some.

But when the appropriate time ¹  had come, God sent out his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

Then he touched their eyes saying, “Let it be done for you according to your faith.”

Now when ¹  Jesus finished these parables, he moved on from there.
