God created humankind ¹  in his own image, in the image of God he created them, ²  male and female he created them. ³ 

And just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, let us also bear ¹  the image of the man of heaven.

They made an image of a calf at Horeb, and worshiped a metal idol.

They traded their majestic God ¹  for the image of an ox that eats grass.

To whom can you compare God? To what image can you liken him?

Jesus ¹  said to them, “Whose image ²  is this, and whose inscription?”

“Show me a denarius. ¹  Whose image ²  and inscription are on it?” ³  They said, “Caesar’s.”

¹ He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn ²  over all creation, ³ 

When he gave the silver back to his mother, she ¹  took two hundred pieces of silver ²  to a silversmith, who made them into a carved image and a metal image. She then put them in Micah’s house. ³ 

When these men broke into Micah’s house and stole ¹  the carved image, the ephod, the personal idols, and the metal image, the priest said to them, “What are you doing?”

I announced them to you beforehand; before they happened, I predicted them for you, so you could never say, ‘My image did these things, my idol, my cast image, decreed them.’

The second beast ¹  was empowered ²  to give life ³  to the image of the first beast ⁴  so that it could speak, and could cause all those who did not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

The priest was happy. He took the ephod, the personal idols, and the carved image and joined the group. ¹ 

They worshiped ¹  Micah’s carved image ²  the whole time God’s authorized shrine ³  was in Shiloh.

With it we bless the Lord ¹  and Father, and with it we curse people ²  made in God’s image.

When ¹  Adam had lived 130 years he fathered a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and he named him Seth.

“Whoever sheds human blood, ¹  by other humans ²  must his blood be shed; for in God’s image ³  God ⁴  has made humankind.”

You must not make for yourself an image ¹  of anything in heaven above, on earth below, or in the waters beneath. ² 

It stands still, ¹  but I cannot recognize ²  its appearance; an image is before my eyes, and I hear a murmuring voice: ³ 

wearing belts on their waists and flowing turbans on their heads, all of them looking like officers, the image of Babylonians ¹  whose native land is Chaldea.
