who was formerly useless to you, but is now useful to you ¹  and me.

Then ¹  you will be blessed, ²  because they cannot repay you, for you will be repaid ³  at the resurrection of the righteous.”

I have many things to write to you, but I do not wish to write to you with ¹  pen and ink. ² 

But when you are invited, go and take the least important place, so that when your host ¹  approaches he will say to you, ‘Friend, move up here to a better place.’ ²  Then you will be honored in the presence of all who share the meal with you.

And the sound of the harpists, musicians, flute players, and trumpeters will never be heard in you ¹  again. No ²  craftsman ³  who practices any trade will ever be found in you again; the noise of a mill ⁴  will never be heard in you again.

So Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him: ¹  “God forbid, ²  Lord! This must not happen to you!”

Do not neglect the spiritual gift you have, ¹  given to you and confirmed by prophetic words ²  when the elders laid hands on you. ³ 

And he said to him, “I will give you all these things if you throw yourself to the ground and worship ¹  me.”

But I tell you, it will be more bearable for the region of Sodom ¹  on the day of judgment than for you!”

because John had repeatedly told ¹  him, “It is not lawful for you to have her.” ² 

Jesus said to him, “Not seven times, I tell you, but seventy-seven times! ¹ 

So ¹  it seemed good to me as well, ²  because I have followed ³  all things carefully from the beginning, to write an orderly account ⁴  for you, most excellent Theophilus,

Joy and gladness will come ¹  to you, and many will rejoice at ²  his birth, ³ 

Therefore see to it ¹  that the light in you ²  is not darkness.

I tell you, you will never get out of there until you have paid the very last cent!” ¹ 

“What do you want me to do for you?” He replied, ¹  “Lord, let me see again.” ² 

And Jesus ¹  said to him, “I tell you the truth, ²  today ³  you will be with me in paradise.” ⁴ 

Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must all ¹  be born from above.’ ² 

Jesus said to her, “I, the one speaking to you, am he.”

Then they said to him, “What did he do to you? How did he cause you to see?” ¹
