But God raised ¹  him from the dead,

For since death came through a man, ¹  the resurrection of the dead also came through a man. ² 

Now if Christ is being preached as raised from the dead, ¹  how can some of you say there is no resurrection of the dead?

He is not the God of the dead but of the living. ¹  You are badly mistaken!”

Now he is not God of the dead, but of the living, ¹  for all live before him.” ² 

(For they did not yet understand ¹  the scripture that Jesus ²  must rise from the dead.) ³ 

This was now the third time Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

We know ¹  that since Christ has been raised from the dead, he is never going to die ²  again; death no longer has mastery over him.

or “Who will descend into the abyss?” ¹  (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).

For this reason Christ died and returned to life, so that he may be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised.

But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

It is the same with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable. ¹ 

and so, somehow, ¹  to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, a descendant of David; ¹  such is my gospel, ² 

teaching about baptisms, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.

Moreover if the Spirit of the one ¹  who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, the one who raised Christ ²  from the dead will also make your mortal bodies alive through his Spirit who lives in you. ³ 

Now as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, ¹ 

They kept this statement to themselves, discussing what this rising from the dead meant.

For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels ¹  in heaven.
