So do not be afraid; ¹  you are more valuable than many sparrows.

I fear for you that my work for you may have been in vain.

But I will warn ¹  you whom you should fear: Fear the one who, after the killing, ²  has authority to throw you ³  into hell. ⁴  Yes, I tell you, fear him!

Although ¹  Herod ²  wanted to kill John, ³  he feared the crowd because they accepted John as a prophet.

When the disciples heard this, they were overwhelmed with fear and threw themselves down with their faces to the ground. ¹ 

They wanted to arrest him, but they were afraid of the crowds, because the crowds ¹  regarded him as a prophet.

But they did not understand this statement and were afraid to ask him.

from ¹  generation to generation he is merciful ²  to those who fear ³  him.

But he said to them, “It is I. Do not be afraid.”

When Pilate heard what they said, ¹  he was more afraid than ever, ² 

Do ¹  not be afraid of those who kill the body ²  but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the one who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. ³ 

When ¹  the crowd saw this, they were afraid ²  and honored God who had given such authority to men. ³ 

But immediately Jesus ¹  spoke to them: ²  “Have courage! It is I. Do not be afraid.”

But when he saw the strong wind he became afraid. And starting to sink, he cried out, ¹  “Lord, save me!”

But Jesus came and touched them. “Get up,” he said. “Do not be afraid.”

But if we say, ‘From people,’ we fear the crowd, for they all consider John to be a prophet.”

so ¹  I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.’

But Jesus, paying no attention to what was said, told the synagogue ruler, “Do not be afraid; just believe.”

But if we say, ‘From people – ’” (they feared the crowd, for they all considered John to be truly a prophet).

So ¹  the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, ²  Mary, for you have found favor ³  with God!
