His power will be great, but it will not be by his strength alone. He will cause terrible destruction. ¹  He will be successful in what he undertakes. ²  He will destroy powerful people and the people of the holy ones. ³ 

He sent swarms of biting insects against them, ¹  as well as frogs that overran their land. ² 

you will vomit up ¹  the little bit you have eaten, and will have wasted your pleasant words. ² 

So come on, let’s go ahead and attack it by night and destroy all its fortified buildings.’

I will destroy you, ¹  O Israel! Who ²  is there to help you?

God saw the earth, and indeed ¹  it was ruined, ²  for all living creatures ³  on the earth were sinful. ⁴ 

what if there are five less than the fifty godly people? Will you destroy ¹  the whole city because five are lacking?” ²  He replied, “I will not destroy it if I find forty-five there.”

because we are about to destroy ¹  it. The outcry against this place ²  is so great before the Lord that he ³  has sent us to destroy it.”

The earth was ruined ¹  in the sight of ²  God; the earth was filled with violence. ³ 

His people have been unfaithful ¹  to him; they have not acted like his children ²  – this is their sin. ³  They are a perverse ⁴  and deceitful generation.

A man who commits adultery with a woman lacks wisdom, ¹  whoever does it destroys his own life. ² 

With his speech ¹  the godless person ²  destroys ³  his neighbor, but by knowledge ⁴  the righteous will be delivered.

The one who ¹  is slack ²  in his work is a brother ³  to one who destroys. ⁴ 

Like a muddied ¹  spring and a polluted ²  well, so is a righteous person who gives way ³  before the wicked.

They have sunk deep into corruption ¹  as in the days of Gibeah. He will remember their wrongdoing. He will repay them for their sins.

God sent an angel ¹  to ravage ²  Jerusalem. As he was doing so, ³  the Lord watched ⁴  and relented from ⁵  his judgment. ⁶  He told the angel who was destroying, “That’s enough! ⁷  Stop now!” ⁸  Now the Lord’s angel was standing near the threshing floor of Ornan ⁹  the Jebusite.

You must not round off the corners of the hair on your head or ruin the corners of your beard. ¹ 

For if you turn away from following him, he will once again abandon ¹  them in the wilderness, and you will be the reason for their destruction.” ²
