Now from noon until three, ¹  darkness came over all the land. ² 

Therefore see to it ¹  that the light in you ²  is not darkness.

for you were at one time darkness, but now you are ¹  light in the Lord. Walk as children of the light –

But if your eye is diseased, ¹  your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

Now ¹  when it was noon, ²  darkness came over the whole land ³  until three in the afternoon. ⁴ 

It was now ¹  about noon, ²  and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, ³ 

Do not become partners ¹  with those who do not believe, for what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship does light have with darkness?

but the sons of the kingdom will be thrown out into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” ¹ 

And throw that worthless slave into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

The sun will be changed to darkness and the moon to blood before the great and glorious ¹  day of the Lord comes.

Then the king said to his attendants, ‘Tie him up hand and foot and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth!’

Now this is the basis for judging: ¹  that the light has come into the world and people ²  loved the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds were evil.

Now ¹  look, the hand of the Lord is against ²  you, and you will be blind, unable to see the sun for a time!” Immediately mistiness ³  and darkness came over ⁴  him, and he went around seeking people ⁵  to lead him by the hand.
