So ¹  they left the town and began coming ²  to him.

Then Peter and the other disciple set out to go to the tomb. ¹ 

Many of those who had believed came forward, ¹  confessing and making their deeds known. ² 

They ¹  came up to him again and again ²  and said, “Hail, king of the Jews!” ³  And they struck him repeatedly ⁴  in the face.

got into a boat, and started to cross the lake ¹  to Capernaum. ²  (It had already become dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.) ³ 

But as the man ¹  went out he began to announce it publicly and spread the story widely, so that Jesus ²  was no longer able to enter any town openly but stayed outside in remote places. Still ³  they kept coming ⁴  to him from everywhere.
