And if you haven’t been trustworthy ¹  with someone else’s property, ²  who will give you your own ³ ?

For the law was given through Moses, but ¹  grace and truth came about through Jesus Christ.

Then they said to him, “Who are you? Tell us ¹  so that we can give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?”

A Samaritan woman ¹  came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me some water ²  to drink.”

Furthermore, the Father does not judge ¹  anyone, but has assigned ²  all judgment to the Son,

For just as the Father has life in himself, thus he has granted the Son to have life in himself,

For the bread of God is the one who ¹  comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

But even now I know that whatever you ask from God, God will grant ¹  you.” ² 

“I give you a new commandment – to love ¹  one another. Just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. ² 

Then ¹  I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate ²  to be with you forever –

I glorified you on earth by completing ¹  the work you gave me to do. ² 

He said this ¹  to fulfill the word he had spoken, ²  “I have not lost a single one of those whom you gave me.” ³ 

They ¹  came up to him again and again ²  and said, “Hail, king of the Jews!” ³  And they struck him repeatedly ⁴  in the face.

Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.

Then ¹  they cast lots for them, and the one chosen was Matthias; ²  so he was counted with the eleven apostles. ³ 

And I will perform wonders in the sky ¹  above and miraculous signs ²  on the earth below, blood and fire and clouds of smoke.

because you will not leave my soul in Hades, ¹  nor permit your Holy One to experience ²  decay.

but ¹  God raised him up on the third day and caused him to be seen, ² 

And God, who knows the heart, ¹  has testified ²  to them by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us, ³ 

nor is he served by human hands, as if he needed anything, ¹  because he himself gives life and breath and everything to everyone. ²
