All of them are skilled with a sword, ¹  well-trained in the art of warfare. ²  Each has his sword at his side, to guard against the terrors of the night.

The watchman replies, “Morning is coming, but then night. ¹  If you want to ask, ask; come back again.” ² 

I, the Lord, protect it; ¹  I water it regularly. ²  I guard it night and day, so no one can harm it. ³

“While the earth continues to exist, ¹  planting time ²  and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night will not cease.”

They shouted to Lot, ¹  “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so we can have sex ²  with them!”

So that night they made their father drunk with wine, ¹  and the older daughter ²  came and had sexual relations with her father. ³  But he was not aware that she had sexual relations with him and then got up. ⁴

For the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, but fire would be ¹  on it at night, in plain view ²  of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
