For every creation of God is good and no food ¹  is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving.

and in one case tithes are received by mortal men, while in the other by him who is affirmed to be alive.

And others experienced mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment.

For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord,

The ¹  ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but will receive ruling authority ²  as kings with the beast for one hour.

And if someone wants to sue you and to take your tunic, ¹  give him your coat also.

For everyone who asks ¹  receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Heal the sick, raise the dead, ¹  cleanse lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

And whoever does not take up his cross ¹  and follow me is not worthy of me.
