That ¹  servant who knew his master’s will but did not get ready or do what his master asked ²  will receive a severe beating.

For I have come down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me.

Because he could not be persuaded, ¹  we said no more except, ²  “The Lord’s will be done.” ³ 

and know his will ¹  and approve the superior things because you receive instruction from the law, ² 

For this reason do not be foolish, but be wise ¹  by understanding ²  what the Lord’s will is.

in everything give thanks. For this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

For it is better to suffer for doing good, if God wills it, ¹  than for doing evil.

I can do nothing on my own initiative. ¹  Just as I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, ²  because I do not seek my own will, but the will of the one who sent me. ³ 

may your kingdom come, ¹  may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

In the same way, your Father in heaven is not willing that one of these little ones be lost.

For whoever does the will of God is ¹  my brother and sister and mother.”

not like those who do their work only when someone is watching ¹  – as people-pleasers – but as slaves of Christ doing the will of God from the heart. ² 

For this is God’s will: that you become holy, ¹  that you keep away from sexual immorality,

and they will come to their senses and escape the devil’s trap where they are held captive ¹  to do his will. ² 

For you need endurance in order to do God’s will and so receive what is promised. ¹ 

For God wants you ¹  to silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing good.

So then let those who suffer according to the will of God entrust their souls to a faithful Creator as they do good. ¹ 

For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is ¹  my brother and sister and mother.”

“Father, if you are willing, take ¹  this cup ²  away from me. Yet not my will but yours ³  be done.”

Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of the one who sent me ¹  and to complete ²  his work. ³
