so that no one can boast in his presence.

But the Pharisees went out and plotted against him, as to how they could assassinate ¹  him.

Then the Pharisees ¹  went out and planned together to entrap him with his own words. ² 

These two ¹  went down and prayed for them so that they would receive the Holy Spirit.

At the present time, your abundance will meet their need, ¹  so that one day their abundance may also meet your need, and thus there may be equality,

For the scripture says to Pharaoh: ¹  “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may demonstrate my power in you, and that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.” ² 

Therefore ask the Lord of the harvest ¹  to send out ²  workers into his harvest.”

The ¹  chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were trying to find false testimony against Jesus so that they could put him to death.

So ¹  the Pharisees ²  went out immediately and began plotting with the Herodians, ³  as to how they could assassinate ⁴  him.

Indeed, as a result of him the thoughts ¹  of many hearts will be revealed ²  – and a sword ³  will pierce your own soul as well!” ⁴ 

As he spoke, ¹  a Pharisee ²  invited Jesus ³  to have a meal with him, so he went in and took his place at the table. ⁴ 

and how our chief priests and rulers handed him over ¹  to be condemned to death, and crucified ²  him.

and he has seen in a vision ¹  a man named Ananias come in and place his hands on him so that he may see again.”

Requesting him to do them a favor against Paul, ¹  they urged Festus ²  to summon him to Jerusalem, planning an ambush ³  to kill him along the way.

I pray ¹  that the faith you share with us may deepen your understanding of every blessing ²  that belongs to you ³  in Christ. ⁴ 

He came to a town called Nazareth ¹  and lived there. Then what had been spoken by the prophets was fulfilled, that Jesus ²  would be called a Nazarene. ³ 

so that you may be like ¹  your Father in heaven, since he causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

so that your gift may be in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you. ¹ 

In this way what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet was fulfilled: ¹  “He took our weaknesses and carried our diseases.” ² 

Then ¹  the entire town ²  came out to meet Jesus. And when they saw him, they begged him to leave their region.
