Then, ¹  when it was evening, he came to the house ²  with the twelve.

Because of these things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience. ¹ 

Philip went and told Andrew, and they both ¹  went and told Jesus.

He ¹  answered, “Elijah does indeed come first and will restore all things.

“Therefore stay alert, because you do not know on what day ¹  your Lord will come.

and Judas Iscariot, ¹  who betrayed him. ² 

For you know quite well that the day of the Lord ¹  will come in the same way as a thief in the night. ² 

Now at one point ¹  the Pharisees ²  asked Jesus ³  when the kingdom of God ⁴  was coming, so he answered, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs ⁵  to be observed,

Therefore you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. ¹ 

After ¹  a long time, the master of those slaves came and settled his accounts with them.

Then ¹  one of the synagogue rulers, ²  named Jairus, ³  came up, and when he saw Jesus, ⁴  he fell at his feet.

Now ¹  Jesus left that place and came to his hometown, ²  and his disciples followed him.

Now ¹  while Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the high priest’s slave girls ²  came by.

You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” ¹ 

Whoever does not carry his own cross ¹  and follow ²  me cannot be my disciple.

A Samaritan woman ¹  came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me some water ²  to drink.”

So when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary was sitting in the house. ¹ 

The next day the large crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. ¹ 

“Do not be afraid, people of Zion; ¹  look, your king is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt!” ² 

Then he came to Simon Peter. Peter ¹  said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash ²  my feet?”
