Context2:48 Then the king elevated Daniel to high position and bestowed on him many marvelous gifts. He granted him authority over the entire province of Babylon and made him the main prefect over all the wise men of Babylon.

Context3:26 Then Nebuchadnezzar approached the door of the furnace of blazing fire. He called out, 1 “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the most high God, come out! Come here!”

Daniel 7:22
Context7:22 until the Ancient of Days arrived and judgment was rendered 3 in favor of the holy ones of the Most High. Then the time came for the holy ones to take possession of the kingdom.
1 tn Aram “answered and said.”
2 tn Aram “from the midst of the fire.” For stylistic reasons the words “the midst of” have been left untranslated.
3 tc In the LXX, Syriac, and Vulgate the verb is active, understanding “judgment” to be the object rather than the subject of the verb (i.e., “the Ancient of Days rendered judgment”). This presupposes a different vocalization of the verb ( יְהַב [yÿhav] rather than the MT יְהִב [yÿhiv]).
