3:12 For the Lord disciplines those he loves,

and it will be a refuge for his children.

14:27 The fear of the Lord is like a life-giving fountain,

to turn people from deadly snares.

15:25 The Lord tears down the house of the proud,

but he maintains the boundaries of the widow.

Proverbs 16:1-2

16:1 The intentions of the heart belong to a man,

but the answer of the tongue comes from the Lord.

16:2 All a person’s ways seem right in his own opinion,

but the Lord evaluates the motives.

Proverbs 16:7

16:7 When a person’s ways are pleasing to the Lord,

he even reconciles his enemies to himself.

Proverbs 16:11

16:11 Honest scales and balances are from the Lord;

all the weights in the bag are his handiwork.

Proverbs 17:3

17:3 The crucible is for refining silver and the furnace is for gold,

likewise the Lord tests hearts.

Proverbs 18:22

18:22 The one who finds a wife finds what is enjoyable,

and receives a pleasurable gift from the Lord.

Proverbs 20:22

20:22 Do not say, “I will pay back evil!”

Wait for the Lord, so that he may vindicate you.

Proverbs 20:24

20:24 The steps of a person are ordained by the Lord

so how can anyone understand his own way?

Proverbs 21:2

21:30 There is no wisdom and there is no understanding,

and there is no counsel against the Lord.

Proverbs 22:19

22:19 So that your confidence may be in the Lord,

but rather be zealous in fearing the Lord all the time.

29:13 The poor person and the oppressor have this in common:

the Lord gives light to the eyes of them both.

but whoever trusts in the Lord will be set on high.

29:26 Many people seek the face of a ruler,

but it is from the Lord that one receives justice.

31:30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is fleeting,

but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised.
