The Visit of the Wise Men

2:1 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, in the time of King Herod, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem 2:2 saying, “Where is the one who is born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”

Matthew 5:35

5:35 not by earth, because it is his footstool, and not by Jerusalem, because it is the city of the great King.

Matthew 21:5

21:5Tell the people of Zion,

Look, your king is coming to you,

unassuming and seated on a donkey,

and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’”

22:7 The king was furious! He sent his soldiers, and they put those murderers to death and set their city on fire.

27:11 Then Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” Jesus said, “You say so.”
