Genesis 2:15

2:15 The Lord God took the man and placed him in the orchard in Eden to care for it and to maintain it.

Genesis 2:18

2:18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a companion for him who corresponds to him.”

2:24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and unites with his wife, and they become a new family.

3:10 The man replied, “I heard you moving about in the orchard, and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.”

3:12 The man said, “The woman whom you gave me, she gave me some fruit from the tree and I ate it.”

The Judgment of the Flood

6:9 This is the account of Noah.

Noah was a godly man; he was blameless

among his contemporaries. He walked with God.

24:58 So they called Rebekah and asked her, “Do you want to go with this man?” She replied, “I want to go.”

24:61 Then Rebekah and her female servants mounted the camels and rode away with the man. So Abraham’s servant took Rebekah and left.

25:8 Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age, an old man who had lived a full life. He joined his ancestors.

32:26 Then the man said, “Let me go, for the dawn is breaking.” “I will not let you go,” Jacob replied, “unless you bless me.”

32:28 “No longer will your name be Jacob,” the man told him, “but Israel, because you have fought with God and with men and have prevailed.”

32:29 Then Jacob asked, “Please tell me your name.” “Why do you ask my name?” the man replied. Then he blessed Jacob there.

34:14 They said to them, “We cannot give our sister to a man who is not circumcised, for it would be a disgrace to us.

35:29 Then Isaac breathed his last and joined his ancestors. He died an old man who had lived a full life. His sons Esau and Jacob buried him.

38:2 There Judah saw the daughter of a Canaanite man named Shua. Judah acquired her as a wife and had marital relations with her.

41:33 “So now Pharaoh should look for a wise and discerning man and give him authority over all the land of Egypt.

41:38 So Pharaoh asked his officials, “Can we find a man like Joseph, one in whom the Spirit of God is present?”

42:30 “The man, the lord of the land, spoke harshly to us and treated us as if we were spying on the land.

43:3 But Judah said to him, “The man solemnly warned us, ‘You will not see my face unless your brother is with you.’

43:19 So they approached the man who was in charge of Joseph’s household and spoke to him at the entrance to the house.

44:12 Then the man searched. He began with the oldest and finished with the youngest. The cup was found in Benjamin’s sack!
