Defeat of King Og of Bashan

3:1 Next we set out on the route to Bashan, but King Og of Bashan and his whole army came out to meet us in battle at Edrei.

Deuteronomy 19:2

19:2 you must set apart for yourselves three cities in the middle of your land that the Lord your God is giving you as a possession.
